Why do we hate gray flicks? Well, we are not challenging the skills of movie makers back then; instead we just want to light up a few facts. Facts such as the “Black and White” cameras; we don`t imagine a thing before the 1950`s without envisioning it in Black and white. If you happened to be a big fan of these movies, you might notice the style sense back in the day.
Speaking of versatile hairstyles, Victory Roll is the base of many modern hairstyles. Before we indulge you with some of its offspring, why don`t want you to try the original victory rolls at first. The key to achieving the perfect roll is soft curls. So prepare to sweep your hair and roll them down on top of your head. Enjoy yourself with our tutorial for how to make victory rolls.
Things you will need
- Elastic Band
- Bobby Pin
- Comb or Brush
Step 1: Make a simple ponytail at the back of your head to get started.
Step 2: While making your ponytail, remember to leave a loose hair on your scalp to add flexibility. It will set up the distance between your crown. Just make sure you grab all of your hair through the elastic band.
Step 3: Tuck two of your fingers through the hair beneath the elastic band and take if off the crown area. Now spread both of your fingers in the hair to make a full hole. While doing this, you need to make sure that there is not a single strand of hair between your fingers. If there is, remove it, or it will mess up your hair job.
Step 4: As your fingers make it through, it’s time to pull your ponytail through the wide hole. Slightly twist the tail by carefully grabbing it and bring it back through the hole. Pull up your tail and make it tight.
Step 5: Once your tail makes it through, you need to brush your whole ponytail to detangle and remove all the messy knots formed when you twisted the tail.
Step 6: Now use the elastic band to tighten the tail from its bottom.
Step 7: Tie up your bobby pin to avoid splitting of hair. Afterward, roll back and secure the tail with the bobby pin.
Step 8: By now, you should have a roll on your crown. Spread this roll out and slightly push it forward to achieve a perfect victory roll.
If you wanted a simple and quick way to make the perfect victory rolls, you now have it! Make the roll and party like it’s the 1999!
